Witchy Wednesday, more Creepy Christmas!

Creepy Christmas Carol!  Here are some more fabulous images showing the darker side of the festive season, this week it's images from the most spookiest and my favourite Christmas tale 'A Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens! Quotes are from the original book.  Here is a link to a digital copy of Charles Dickens 'A Christmas Carol' though I would highly recommend purchases yourself a real paper copy from your local bookshop!  https://cplorg.contentdm.oclc.org/digital/collection/p4014coll9/id/49091/ “Darkness is cheap, and Scrooge liked it.”  Marley’s Ghost: “Mankind was my business.”  “If they would rather die,” said Scrooge, “they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population.”  Scrooge: “The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.”  Scrooge:  “I am as light as a feather, I am a happy as an angel, I am as merry as a school-boy. I am as giddy as a drunken man.” “Scrooge was better than his word. He did it all and infinitely more; and t...

Inside Cinema Witches!

Image
I watched a fab little programme about witches on BBC i Player today. It's a short documentary style programme made in 2020 celebrating some of Film's most memorable Witches! It's eight minutes long which is a shame as the subject matter would have suited a much longer programme, never the less it is definitely worth a watch. There are also other 'Inside Cinema' programmes available on various subjects such as Lord of the Rings, Christmas movies, movies stars, social subjects and even one of one of my favourite sci-fi TV and Movie franchise Star Trek!  For Witches programme please visit the link below.  Inside Cinema, Shorts: 50. This malevolent folklore creature punishes children who have misbehaved often beating them with birch sticks! But if they had been particularly naughty they would be whisked away in a basket or sack and taken to the firey pits of Hell! ๐Ÿ‘น๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ‘น๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ‘น๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ‘น๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ‘น๐Ÿ”ฅ Krampus accompanying Saint Nicholas on the night of December 5th, known as Krampusnacht ("Krampus Night"), to deliver gifts to well-behaved children and birch rods to those who misbehave!
