Visiting the Magical world of Kastle Kelm Miniatures! 🎃

Image
Welcome to the world of Kastle Kelm Miniatures! I was really lucky to visit the Thame dolls house fair this month and meet up with Mike and Jenny of Kastle Kelm miniatures. I have been a fan of their amazing work for quite a few years now and I am lucky to own a small collection of their work, including a wonderful sculpture of Grotbags! What I love about the Kelm's is their passion for creating miniatures that are unusual, enchanting and at times created with a great sense of humour! There is always something new to see at each of their fairs and everything is made with love and a sprinkle of magic! This fabulous tribute to Grotbags is in my collection and one of my favourites!  Jenny Kelm kindly made time in her very busy schedule to give me a little interview which I hope you all enjoy. How long have you been doing miniature making and what got you into making miniatures especially making Witches and Gnomes? We've been making Miniatures for dolls house shows f...

Love Wreath Tutorial by Kat Hazelton (me)

Image
With a just a few simple items you can create a fabulous love wreath. First of all gather some materials. You will need sticks, a wreath ring, red and pink ribbons (the colours of love), string, lace, glue and items to decorate it. I used felt hearts, gem stones, glitter, bells and straw stars and a lotus seed head which has many connections with love. But you can use old photos, buttons, dried flowers, what ever you want! To make a pentagram star I cut 5 sticks all the same length. I made sure these were slightly longer than my wreath ring. Pentagram star stage 1 I then arranged the pentagram shape on my wreath. This is to check out the size and also to make any adjustments before gluing. I have photographed each stage of the pentagram star to make it easier for you to follow how to make it yourselves. Pentagram star stage 2 Pentagram stage 3 Pentagram star stage 4  I have created my pentagram star.  I took the sticks off my wreath arra...

Welcome to my new blog page 'Witch Krafting with Kat'. This is the sister blog to 'Krafting with Kat' which last year had over 7000 visits! Not bad considering I don't sell or advertise! Krafting with Kat is still going strong and l have plans to add more crafting tutorials to that site in the coming weeks. This blog will be all about my travels around the UK exploring the myths and legends and tales of witches, vampires and Goblins! I shall also be turning these visits into inspiration for art and craft tutorials and projects which I hope some of you will try...Kat 😊
