The Magic of Yarrow

Image
I am creating a small wild flower bed in my garden to help the bees and butterflies. Whilst I was planting them I noticed in the packet of seeds that it contained Yarrow. This is a plant I regularly used to see growing along country roads as a child. Sometimes if I am lucky I still do see it on my walks though sadly not as abundant.   Yarrow is mentioned a lot in folklore and is especially connected with witches and Witchcraft being often known as 'Devils plaything' amongst other interesting names. Often used in rituals involving love, courage or healing. I found some really interesting websites about Yarrow which delve into more details. Please visit them to see more on this interesting often overlooked plant.  https://spellencyclopedia.fandom.com/wiki/Yarrow_root   https://witchipedia.com/book-of-shadows/herblore/yarrow/ https://www.wildfooduk.com/edible-wild-plants/yarrow/

How to make a simple Pentagram pendant.

Image
Simple Magical Pentagram Pendant. To make this pendant I painted a flat mdf bauble black. I used Culture Hustle Black 3. 0 The world's blackest black acrylic paint! Once dry I painted on sparkily glitter glue and again left it to dry. I cut the pentagram shape from black foam using a die cutter. I glued the pentagram onto the bauble with a little tacky glue. Then to finish off I added a little sparkling gem. Now you can either add ribbon, string to hang it up or add a split ring and wear it on a chain.๐Ÿ˜Š Mdf bauble came from Calico Craft Parts, glitter glue from Hobbycraft. Die cut came from Ebay. http://www.calicocraftparts.co.uk/ https://culturehustle.com
