Brigid’s Cross

Imbolc or Imbolg is also known as Brigid's Day. A Gaelic festival marking the beginning of Springtime. On the first of February it is about halfway between Winter Solstice and Equinox.

One traditions for on the 1st of February is to make a Brigid’s Cross. These were made from rushes and hung in homes and stables to protect families and their livestock.
