Making an ornamental Witches broom.

Part one.

First step is to gather your materials. 😊For the broom handle you will need sticks.

I used wooden sticks naturally pruned from my garden and also some decorative sticks from my local craft shop. You can get decorative sticks from florists, Garden centres and some gift shops. 

As an alternative to sticks you can use cake pop sticks, pencils, wooden spoons.

Obviously you can gather sticks from the ground at local woodland walks or parks but please check that you have permission to do so. Some parks prohibit the taking of natural items including sticks even if found on the ground.

For the bristles you will need raffia ribbon. If you don't have raffia you can also use string, wool, crepe paper or straw.
