Creepy Christmas Krampus Postcards, a Witchy Wednesday article.

Krampus Cards!

The history of Krampus postcards, or Krampuskarten, began in the late 19th century in Germany and Austria. These cards were a way to remind people to behave well during the holidays, as Krampus was said to punish children who were naughty. The cards often featured Krampus looming over children, sometimes with humorous poems or rhymes.

(Greetings from Krampus)

Here are some fabulous Krampus Postcards sourced from Pinterest.

Please be advised these are historic depictions of a folklore character! Some are quite disturbing but also really cool and interesting.

It might be advisable not to show little ones or those who have been particularly naughty!๐Ÿ˜‰
