Not a story for very young children!!!!!!

Grindylow - a malevolent water creature from English folklore, typically depicted as a small, green-skinned being with sharp claws and teeth, known for dragging unsuspecting victims, especially children, into its watery lair. These creatures are often associated with lakes, ponds, and marshes, and serve as cautionary tales to warn against venturing too close to dangerous waters.
