Haunted Houses!!!!!

Welcome to another Witchy Wednesday and also welcome to September! We really are flying towards Halloween like a Witch on a V8 Broom! πŸ˜† 

Anyway to kick start the Halloween mood I thought it would be nice to share some spooky Haunted house stories and Folklore tales.

Here are a couple of fab videos I found on youtube. Please note I do watch these to make sure they are made from respected historians and bloggers but I always advise watching before showing younger viewers as the content may be a bit scary and contain adult themes.

Chenies Manor House & Bucks Museum 

The Haunting: The "Lady in White," a spectral figure, is said to drift through the galleries of the Bucks Museum, leaving witnesses with a sense of unease.

The Bell Hotel, Winslow 

The Haunting: This historic hotel, once a courthouse, is believed to be haunted by a number of spirits, including a previous owner, a murdered housekeeper, and small children.

Hughenden Manor 

The Haunting: Sightings of the ghost of Benjamin Disraeli, the former Prime Minister, have been reported, along with the scent of perfume or cologne in his old study. A young woman also haunts the woods behind the manor.

Dinton Folly 

The Haunting: The former executioner of King Charles I, John Mayne, is said to haunt this 17th-century castle.

The Royal Standard pub

This pub is mentioned as a haunted location in the county. 

The Ivy House Tavern

The ghost of a young stable lad, who was trampled to death by horses, is said to appear from an attic room. 

The Flincher

At the former Red Cross Memorial Hospital in Taplow, a malevolent presence known as "The Flincher" has been reported by two young men.
